Cindy Parlow played at the University of North Carolina from 1995-98, winning a pair of national championships and twice winning the Hermann Trophy as the National Player of the Year (1997 & 1998). Parlow recorded 68 goals and 53 assists during her collegiate career and is one of 10 players in the program’s history to record 40 or more goals and assists in a career.

Parlow made her first appearance for the U.S. Women's National Team in 1996 and played 9 years on the squad, winning Olympic gold medals in 1996 and 2004 and a Women's World Cup title in 1999.  She earned a silver medal at the 2000 Olympics and a bronze at the 2003 World Cup.

She ranks among the U.S. Women’s National Team’s all-time leading scorers with 75 goals and 35 assists in 158 career appearances. Parlow also played three season in the Women’s United Soccer Association (WUSA) where she led the Atlanta Beat to three consecutive playoff appearances.

Following her playing career, Parlow Cone, 34, has served as an assistant coach for the women’s soccer program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for six seasons from 2007-12. She helped guide the team to national championship-winning seasons in 2009 and 2012.
